I am super excited to be a part of the Among Friends Salon’s style team!
I have been working within my industry for more than 12 years. I started my education at Empire Cosmetology School in Bangor, and my career started building from there.
My training includes several different color lines: Goldwell, Aveda, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, and my favorite…Redken.
This is an ever-changing line of work, new trends are always developing, and it is so much fun to sharpen and master new skills! I continue to keep up on new developments in the field by continuing to take classes when possible.
I love working with make-up as well. I have a passion for unveiling the natural beauty that lies within the canvas of my clients, whether it be with their hair or skincare.
I very much enjoy teaching my clients how to make the best of their features so that they can be confident to replicate their finished salon look at home.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Ely, and we have 2 little guys at home, Maverick and Forrest.
I absolutely love my family! But they keep me very busy outside of the salon!
Every morning, I start out with a good cup of coffee to shake off the sleepiness. Both of my boys are under the age of 4! I live off coffee even though Jamie tells me that I should drink some water, and perhaps get a bite or two in… hahaha!
My local favorite is from Dunkin’ Donuts, I can’t make it into work without a medium Iced Caramel Coconut coffee with cream! If you are ever in the drive-through when you are on your way over, don’t hesitate to think of me!
At the end of the day, I take time to decompress with some good ol’ online shopping! I love brand names, and I like them even better when I don’t have to pay full price for them! So I spend much of my time on Poshmark and an online boutique called LaurieBelle.
My family means everything to me, and this career has allowed me to have the best of both worlds. I get to have my cake and eat it too (and who wouldn’t love that!)
I am originally from Knox, Maine. I grew up locally, and have settled into the town of Belfast. I love my coastal town and its community. I enjoy being a part of the world around us and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
I grew up enjoying outdoor sports, and I
A few things I love include: creating gorgeous garden arrangements, appreciating the beauty that Maine has to offer, and watching the birds in my feeders that remind me of my loved ones who are no longer here.
I am blessed to be a part of an industry that values natural beauty. I get to have a hands-on experience both with my clients and as I raise my boys in the world around us.
I look for the beauty in all that I do. When I can poise my heart toward that appreciation, I am grateful.
